Bill, my wife and I watched you once on the beach opposite the Maritime Museum in San Francisco in February 2001. You built some sculptures at the waters edge and then proceeded to photograph them. I have some photos of you doing it and even a low quality video of you doing it. I remember you returning to your bag, taking a swig of coke from a can and balancing it on the concrete.....
