Dan, I have heard of rock balancing before, but today my 7 year old and 11 year old tried it for the first time. We had so much fun! I love your art work. We are going to attmept rock stack other than our front stoop and get some awesome backdrops. Is there a formal name for this?
Hi Shannon, Greeting . . . Right on - Yes, the main thing are having fun and learn a little bit about so many aspect of the process. The Names itself are Subjective - depends on the purpose of building the Structures - base on Cultural and or Etnicity ,Religion and Belief, Sense and Artistic, location, etc. It's been done and practicing for thousand of Years - if You look through the blog You'll fine names like Cairn, dolmen, stacking stones, etc-etc . . .
